I was born and raised in the Big City to an amazing family full of love, laughter and Christ. I grew up fairly active, loving every bit of nature. My parents believed in being outside as much as possible. During the summer months, that meant lots of camping, hikes, and exploring. Through winter that meant playing outside, building massive forts, and of course tobogganing (with large jumps to be launched off). Looking back God had a plan already and was preparing me for my future. Fast forward many years to when I met my husband. A country boy living in the city. He introduced me into backwoods camping, hunting, snowmobiling and so much more. We fell in love, got married and ever since he’s been turning this “city” girl a little bit country.
We now live in a cute little town with two beautiful kids and an amazing community. My life revolves around chasing two kids under 3, being a homemaker and wife, living intentionally with the best girlfriends a girl could ask for, and of course wine. No surprise though – my life isn’t all sunshine and puppies. I’m also learning to work through my postpartum depression, my anxiety and just the ups and downs of living life as a mom and wife.
Somewhere in this chaos I’m also trying to find myself again. My list making, craft doing, adventuring, Christ seeking self. This is my journey through motherhood, being a wife, a friend, and a child of God.
