This recipe is a long time tradition for Jess. Growing up, she and her family would make Banana Boats everytime they went camping. The ingredient list always changed but they were always delicious. As she got older, one of best parts (other than eating the Banana Boat) was to use the tinfoil to create different animals or objects in order to tell everyone's treat apart. We hope that you'll enjoy this recipe and create your own family memories in the process.
- 1 Banana
- Chocolate chips
- crumbled cookies
- mini marshmallows
- caramels, chopped
Cut banana legnth wise.
Stuff the banana with any combination of treats.
Using a piece of tinfoil, wrap the banana up. Making sure your fire has burnt down to just coals, place wrapped banana in the coals for 10-15 minutes. (Until banana is warmed and chocolate is melted.)
Using tongs or oven mitts, remove the banana boat from the coals and enjoy!
Note: Add whatever your hearts desire to the banana, the list above is just a guideline.
