Homemade Mac and Cheese
- 2 cups macaroni
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp flour
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 ½ cups milk
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese
Cook pasta according to directions on package. Drain and set aside.
In a small heavy bottomed saucepan melt 2 tbsp of butter. Whisk flour and salt and cook for 2 mins.
Add milk in slow stream and whisk to combine.
Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer for 3 mins stirring occasionally.
Add cheddar and Parmesan, stir until melted.
Pour cheese sauce over pasta and combine.
