You will make these brownies entirely in the saucepan. So, this is for those of you who are "dishwashing-resistant", or simply in a hurry. The resilts will be impossible to resist.
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 x 1 oz squares unsweetened chocolate
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 2 eggs
- icing sugar
Melt together butter and chocolate in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
Stir in sugar, flour, baking powder, vanilla and walnuts.
Add eggs and beat thoroughly.
Spread in greased 9" square pan.
Bake in 350 degrees fahrenheit oven for 30 minuted or until done. Cool in pan on a cooling rack.
When cool, dust with icing sugar ad cut into squares.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: These are good eaten right from the pan or topped with ice cream and chocolate sauce for dessert!
